A family business with over 40 years of heritage
Kevin Wilkins is a 3rd generation family business. Kevin was just 16 when he first started out in the electrical industry, with his father gaining vital experience to be able to progress in his career. After losing his father aged 23 Kevin went self-employed and this was the start of his own venture with his father’s contacts.
Kevin still has a few clients from his dad’s profile, one of them being one of his proudest contracts in looking after AFC Bournemouth, who he has served for more than 44 years. Kevin has gone on to secure jobs within local schools and trusts, language colleges, multi-million pound warehouses, churches and gained a good reputation within the local community.
The business has grown into a family business with both of Kevin’s sons working within. Mark is in the office and has been working within the business for 18 years and joined the company from a reputable electrical wholesalers, his youngest son Kris is on the tools and client-based, kris has now been working for the business for 14 years after joining just weeks after leaving school and taking his apprenticeship within.
The company has 15 employees who have many years of experience between them, with over half of the employees having worked for Kevin for more than decade.
Kevin’s approach with the company is to provide a friendly, safe, trusted and fair service for any size job.
