With all legislation changing regularly over recent years, the need to have your emergency lighting and fire alarms (including mains or battery smoke detectors) working and certificated is growing. We can maintain and install any systems from scratch, find and repair faults, and supply the necessary certificates to ensure your building conforms with government legislation.
What is an AOV system?
An AOV (automatic opening vent) is designed to vent air or smoke in the event of a fire. When a smoke detector or call point is triggered, an AOV control system will open actuators, windows or vents, to create ventilation. This will clear smoke for people evacuating the building while venting smoke out of the specific area that has been triggered.
There are different types of AOV systems, and our experienced team can help you choose the right option for your premises.

Emergency lighting services
Emergency lighting is lighting that automatically comes on in emergency situations when the main power supply is cut and normal electrical illumination fails. This could be as a result of a fire or power cut.
In these types of situations, having adequate backup lighting is key to keeping people safe – especially if they need to evacuate the premises.
Emergency lighting is typically divided into two categories: emergency escape lighting and standby lighting.
Emergency escape lighting
As the name would suggest, this is lighting that helps the occupants of a building escape safely during an evacuation, by sufficiently illuminating the emergency routes and exits.
Standby lighting
This is the part of an emergency lighting system that is designed to enable normal activities to continue in the event of a power cut.
